Microdermabrasion
Soft, Smooth and Radiant
Microdermabrasion is a procedure that gently removes the top layer of skin. It is used to even out skin tones, fade acne scars, and brighten a dull complexion. The results you get from microdermabrasion are cumulative. Generally, six to 10 treatments are scheduled seven to 14 days apart. The number and frequency of treatments vary depending on your skin’s needs and your skincare goals.
During microdermabrasion, the stratum corneum, or the top layer of skin, is sanded or ablated. This process is done using a diamond-tip abrasive tool that gently exfoliates the skin to stimulate skin remodeling. As a result, an increase in the production of collagen, a protein responsible for giving your skin its elasticity and firmness returns giving your skin a more youthful and radiant appearance.
As your skin heals, a new and improved epidermis forms to reduce or eliminate signs of aged skin, scars or other blemishes.
